Claim Registration Questions

Is there a fee to join the group action?

Yes, a one-off fee ranging from £30 to £300 is payable when you register depending on the value of your claim. It is simply not possible to pursue a complex claim like this without initial funding. This goes towards paying leading barristers to act in the claim and for third party expenses such as claim administrators and experts. Further details on the fee arrangements are provided during the registration process.

The Yell Action Group Association Interim Committee also considers applications for support with the fee in cases of financial hardship. Any applications and supporting evidence should be sent to admin@yellactiongroup.org.uk or yellclaim@croftsolicitors.com

The registration fees are as follows:

How do I register my claim and join the Yell Action Group Association?

You can complete your initial claim registration here.

I have registered my details on the Yell Action Group website, why am I still being asked to register my claim?

The purpose of the short registration form on the Yell Action Group website is to register your interest in joining the group action. There is a separate registration portal for you to use to formally join the Yell Action Group Association and register and manage your claim.

You can also click HERE to access the registration portal directly.

How long will it take me to complete the initial registration of my claim on the registration portal?

The registration time will vary from person to person. As a general guide, the usual timescale to complete the registration process from start to finish is between 30 minutes to one hour.

However, if you are pressed for time, you can complete just the first stage of the process by signing up to the registration portal in as little as five minutes. You will then be able to log in at a more convenient time to complete the remaining sections. The portal will remember your previous registration progress so that you can pick straight back up from where you left off.

How much time will be required to be part of the group claim?

You will be required to complete an online registration process with the details of your claim. The Yell Action Group Association will represent you and the other claimants in the group action. You will be updated on the progress of the case regularly and will be contacted if any further information is required in respect of your claim at a later stage

What can I do if I find that the registration portal is too complex?

The registration portal has been streamlined to help you to register your claim as easily as possible. However, there are a number of requirements which must be complied with in order to register. It is therefore possible that you may find the process more complex than a typical website registration.

There are a number of resources available in order to assist you with the registration portal:

  • A video guide to using the registration portal.
  • This FAQ page.
  • Further FAQ sections at each stage of the registration portal.

You can also request individual assistance here and someone will contact you to guide you through the process.
